Dr. Brian J. DeoNarine

A 1987 Summa Cum Laude graduate from St John’s University, Dr DeoNarine obtained a BS in Biology. He attended Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City graduating in 1991 and completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 1994.

He developed a keen interest in Cardiology and went on to complete a Cardiology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, Long Island, NY. He presented an abstract published paper on “Pre-discharge Nuclear Stress Tests” at a national Cardiology conference during his last year of fellowship training. During his years at Winthrop, he worked in the Cardiac Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. He was one of the first Cardiologists to obtain certification in Nuclear Cardiology in the United States.

The DeoNarine family moved to Vero Beach in 1997. He has been on staff at Indian River Cleveland Clinic, formerly Indian River Memorial Hospital, since that time. He served as Chief of Cardiology during the formative years of their Cardiac Surgery program. He has been an independent practicing Cardiologist since 1999, maintaining board certification in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is an active member in the American College of Cardiology Collaborative Maintenance Pathway for maintenance of board certification.

Dr. DeoNarine’s practice maintains ongoing IAC accreditation in both Echocardiography and Nuclear/PET stress testing.

His wife Tina of over 30 years is a trained ICU nurse, completing her training at Elmhurst Hospital in New York City where they met. Their three children grew up in Vero Beach.
